Corn Stocks friendly, Bean stocks friendly, Wheat non-event

Acres planted Friendly corn, little negative soybeans, little friendly wheat

This may be all over shadowed by the weather forecast that is calling for possible lower temps and possible rain.

The next couple days critical to the bean Market..

YOU MUST ALWAYS BE AWARE THAT THERE IS SIGNIFICANT RISK INVOLVED IN TRADING FUTURES AND/OR OPTIONS ON FUTURES AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL INVESTORS.

in my opinion. Tomorrow the USDA will release the June Planted Acre report. The trade is expected a pretty large increase in corn acres and a decrease in soybean acres. I suggest you check in after 7:30AM for the a report on the USDA numbers. Couple this report with moderating temps, and a long weekend I do not expect a large rally. My feeling is if the report is in line with trade guesses and we go through the weekend w/o meaningful rain it is my opinion that the Bean market could re-kindle buying interest.

Buy July coffee 105.10 stop, consider a stop loss at 101.50.

Live Cattle Recommendation

YOU MUST ALWAYS BE AWARE THAT THERE IS SIGNIFICANT RISK INVOLVED IN TRADING FUTURES AND/OR OPTIONS ON FUTURES AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL INVESTORS.

Trade Recommendation: Sell Aug live Cattle @ 81.20/Target 78.00-76.00/Stop Close 82.60
Hefty upfront supply & weather hurting demand.

Moving average suggests the longer-term trend could be turning lower.

What to do now?

YOU MUST ALWAYS BE AWARE THAT THERE IS SIGNIFICANT RISK INVOLVED IN TRADING FUTURES AND/OR OPTIONS ON FUTURES AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL INVESTORS.

The bean market acted with great downward pressure based on the moderating temperture forecast, inspite of central Illinois being forecasted at 100 degrees on Wednesday. But the market is never wrong, so what to do.

If you have the wherewithall I suggest sticking with the position watching to see of the market can close below 6.68.

If grains and oilseeds break this morning as projected, watch the RSI for places to possibly put on long positions. For those less risk adverse keep your eye on the 65% RSI level, for those a little MORE risk adverse watch for a possible move to the 55%/50% RSI level.

Best Value???

YOU MUST ALWAYS BE AWARE THAT THERE IS SIGNIFICANT RISK INVOLVED IN TRADING FUTURES AND/OR OPTIONS ON FUTURES AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL INVESTORS.

Buying value is always a tricky venture because in buy value one is normally going to be early exposing themselves to a period of losses and possible margin issues. That is why when one buys value one needs to be properly capitalized.

As I look at the board the commodity that catches my eye is cotton. Upon examing the Dec Cotton monthly chart we see that there appears to be good support at around the 42.00 level, going back to August of 2004. The next level of support comes ina round 39.00, which was established in December of 2001. But here is the kicker the ulimate low was 29.90 established in October of 2001. So with these numbers you can see the various levels that one need sto be mindful of if one is to buy value. The ulitimate up side was established in 1995 at 117.00. More realistic upside might be in the 85.00 level. In buying value KNOW YOUR RISK, figured from where you buy cotton to where the various levels of support have been established. Can you live with that amount of risk and maintain the position? That is the key question in buying value. More as we go along.

Beans: I'd love to grab a tiger by its tail but the RSI in beans is in the low 80's after last night's trade, very scary. I think nearby beans are targeting $8.50 which is still another dollar higher so if you don't mind any short term frustration I believe that is the place to be.

The gold market may be a bit high in the short term, but long term I think it looks like it may be going a lot higher.

Buy Dec corn below $2.50 might be another good trade.
